Here are some helpful hints:

Amalgam Trituration:

• Set amalgamator to High or Fast Setting (at least 4200 cpm)
• Find your amalgamator on the Trituration Chart for settings
• Use the "baby bottle" test - Place freshly triturated amalgam ball on inside of wrist
• Ball must feel hot, not cold, comfortable, not uncomfortable
• If amalgam comes out dry and cold to the touch, increase trituration time
• If it comes out hot, reduce the time

Carbon Steel Instruments:

• Carbon Steel Instruments will rust or discolor if left to stand in wet conditions
• We recommend Health-Sonics non-ionic multi-purpose ultrasonic solution
